VINALYN M. POTOT-BALURAN, Esq. is engaged in general commercial litigation and in particular, intellectual property rights prosecution and litigation.

Ms. Baluran, handles, among others, trademark prosecution and trademark litigation, including the preparation of trademark availability opinions, preparation and prosecution of trademark applications, and appearance before regular courts and the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) in relation to opposition and cancellation proceedings and cases involving trademark infringement, unfair competition and other cases involving violations of intellectual property rights.

Ms. Baluran also renders opinions on patent validity and patent protection issues and likewise advises clients on courses of action in enforcing patent rights.

Prior to joining the Law Firm of E. B. Astudillo and Associates, she worked with a general law firm where she handled general litigation work.

Ms. Baluran earned her Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the University of the Philippines and attended San Beda College of Law and Arellano University School of Law, where she earned her law degree.
