REENA C. MITRA, Esq. is engaged in intellectual property rights prosecution and litigation.

Ms. Mitra handles trademark as well as patent cases. She is responsible for the preparation of trademark availability opinions, preparation and prosecution of trademark applications, preparation of pleadings and other documents filed before the regular courts and the Intellectual Property Office, and appearance before the regular courts and the Intellectual Property Office in relation to opposition and cancellation proceedings and cases involving trademark infringement, unfair competition and other cases involving violations of intellectual property rights.

Ms. Mitra also renders opinions on patent validity and patent protection issues and likewise advises clients on courses of action in enforcing patent rights.

In order to acquaint herself with latest developments in intellectual property law, Ms. Mitra regularly attends local and foreign seminars and conferences on intellectual property.

Prior to joining the Law Firm of E. B. Astudillo and Associates, Ms. Mitra worked in another distinguished law firm where she gained considerable experience in the areas of civil, criminal, labor and maritime laws.

Ms. Mitra earned her Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree and Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of the Philippines.
